Texas State Representatives

Sharon Mork: Sharon Mork is a Paralegal at the Houston, Texas, office of Jackson Walker L.L.P.  She is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.  Sharon has 15 years’ worth of knowledge in office and commercial real estate transactions, wherein she primarily reviews and negotiates title and survey matters, abstracts leases, and drafts estoppels, amendments and other real estate/closing documents.  Sharon is also experienced in real estate financings and corporate compliance work.  Recently, she has become involved with oil and gas transactions as well as bankruptcy and foreclosure work.  Sharon was previously employed by a national title insurance company as well as a national real estate investment trust, wherein she did similar real estate legal work.

Sharon is a member of the State of Texas Paralegal Division and the Houston Metropolitan Paralegal Association and a past member of the National Association of Legal Assistants.  She is a Louisiana College alumni, she received her Paralegal Certificate in 2005, and she recently passed the Texas Bar of Legal Specialization exam for Paralegals in the area of Real Estate Specialization.

Sharon has served as a mentor for high school students as well as to new paralegals hired at Jackson Walker. She is a member of the Cy-Ridge Band Booster Club, enjoys home improvement projects and spending time with her husband, her kids, and the very large family she married into. Stephanie Sterling Stephanie is a seasoned paralegal with 13 years experience in various areas of legal specialties. She is a graduate of Lamar University with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal, which is an ABA approved program. Stephanie also graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in History. While obtaining her degrees, she was on the President’s List and Dean’s List as well as a member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society, Pi Gamma Mu Social Science Honor Society and Alpha Beta Gamma Business Honor Society. Stephanie is a very active member in the Paralegal Division of State Bar of Texas serving as sub-chair on the Public Relations and Pro Bono Committees as well as a voting member of her local paralegal organization, Capital Area Paralegal Association (CAPA). She was elected and served as Treasurer for the Southeast Texas Association of Paralegals (SETAP) in 2007-2008 before relocating to Austin. In addition to being a busy litigation paralegal in Austin, she is also a wife and mom who is an active volunteer with her local PTA organization and periodically volunteers in the classroom.
